Not just any roofer can fit a stone roof! They are reasonably difficult to install, as they are dressed to size and not sawn for each individual roof. Absolutely no angle grinders are used. If, somehow, mistakes are made, we can dress stone tiles to a smaller size, used further up your roof and nearer to the battens – a highly sustainable material.

As experienced stone roofers, we use traditional chisel edge hammers to cut your stone exactly. Often, stone is cut in giant slabs or tiles, whatever style the customer desires. Be assured, no matter which way we cut, your stone will be durable and reliable – lasting upwards of a century or more.

We do install stone roofs at a much steeper pitch than traditional slate or tile, largely because stone is porous! A 45 degree angle allows rain to fall at a more suitable gradient, for efficient drainage. We also employ good horizontal and vertical laps, without any shortcuts, to ensure your roof is wholly watertight.
